After years of homebrewing and experimenting with mead and cider making, founders and brothers, Chris and Jeremy VanSice, decided to take our hobby to the next level and open a business. We continue to share our love for the land and our passion for making delicious beverages from Michigan’s diverse crops, and we’re eager to welcome you into our Bellaire cider house, meadery, and tasting room. Our connection to this area goes back 6 generations—we mean it when we say we’re Dug Deep in Northern Michigan!

A Meadery with a Mission

We proudly source our honey and fruit from local farms because we believe the best meads and ciders come from high-quality, lovingly grown ingredients. Since opening our doors in 2014, we’ve continued to increase production of our heirloom ciders and meads. Our mission is to feature the best of Michigan agriculture: apples, honey, peaches, plums, cherries, and more—even ghost peppers have found their way into our unique drinks!

With 20 rotating taps of our award-winning cider and mead, as well as a variety of sodas and snacks, there’s something for everyone to love.
