The Bee Well Story
Bee Well Mead and Cider started back in 2014 when brothers Chris and Jeremy VanSice began taking their bottled goods to local farm markets in Northern Michigan. What began as a hobby and something different from the homebrew scene, their mead and cider making slowly turned into a budding business. After a few busy summers and falls at the local markets, they realized the need for a larger production facility was looming.
In 2016, Chris and Jeremy moved Bee Well into a 3200 square foot space that allowed them to meet demand and increase their brand portfolio. Paige VanSice, their sister, also came on to begin a focus on distribution throughout the state. On Memorial Day weekend of 2018, Bee Well opened a new tasting room in beautiful downtown Bellaire. The tasting room has 20 rotating taps of cider and mead, sodas, snacks and is always family-friendly.
As of January 2022, we are excited to announce that we have moved into our new production facility on Derenzy rd. With this new space we have begun kicking out high quality mead and cider that's better than ever before. None of this would be possible without the support of our family and patrons that have been a part of this incredible journey.
